The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.

Getting involved enhances learning, personal and professional growth and creates relationships. This will make your ABWA experience that much richer!
There are several ways members have opportunities to gather each month.
We have our monthly Professional Development.
We have at least one Social event each month. You might find us enjoying breakfast, learning to make greeting cards, and other fun events.
We provide opportunities for Community Outreach multiple times each year. Some ways in which we do this include: Members prep meals for Ronald McDonald House, we've fed and hugged cats and dogs at a private animal shelter, we've created and donated cards to be given to someone who otherwise might not be acknowledged on a birthday, and more!
We highly encourage members to get involved in our committees- to enhance skills, participate in activities and build relationships.

Professional Development

The Women Doing More Chapter of the American Business Women's Association typically meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. We currently meet at the Hilton Garden Inn - Johnston. Networking starts at 11:30 with lunch. Chapter announcements and a 45-minute professional development speaker presentation follow. Event ends at 1PM.
Guests are welcome to register and attend before joining ABWA. We do encourage membership after visiting twice.
We offer a hybrid experience for our professional development events.
